An experienced estate planning attorney serving anchorage and beyond
In addition to serving Alaska residents, I represent families and individuals from outside the state who are in need of assistance with probate and estate administration matters. I help executors and administrators with all aspects of Alaska probate and estate administration, including the identification and distribution of debts and assets.
I work with clients to help them decide how their assets will be distributed after their death and determine who will act on their behalf if they become incapacitated. In developing personalized estate plans that meet my clients' specific needs, I draft and review essential documents, including wills, powers of attorney, health care directives and numerous types of trusts.
I provide legal services that enable families to make sure important needs are provided for when an elderly loved one becomes disabled or incapacitated or when a minor needs care. I can help file the appropriate court petitions and negotiate arrangements in cases where guardianships and conservatorship are contested.
In resolving divorce matters and other family law concerns, I help individuals and families reach solutions as amicably as possible. Using biblical principles, my goal is to help my clients make peace and achieve the results they want whenever possible. As a military veteran and West Point graduate, I am familiar with military concerns and military law, and I am experienced with military divorce and QDRO issues.
Life changes can call for legal remedies. If your child support or child custody situation feels unsustainable, unfair or inappropriate, I may be able to help by petitioning a court for a modification. I have helped many clients achieve fair and equitable arrangements that can bring relief and improve family functioning.
